Starting from the work of Yamin Widjaja (Amin) as a shop owner and distributor of electronic records which opened its outlets in the New Market area, the recording industry began a long history in Indonesia. Stores and distributors of electronic records was founded in the early 60's with the name of Sapta Eka store.
Mr. Amin reasonable - so Yamin Widjaja is usually called - are accidentally became acquainted with many famous people in the music world, including the late Bing Crosby, Ireng Maulana, Light Tanamal and Idris Sardi. Relationships around the music that eventually became the inspiration behind the birth of the Sapta Eka band name.
